How we get mosquito control right
A mosquito problem in Phoenix surprises people precisely because this is the desert - but the Valley supplies the standing water mosquitoes need better than almost anywhere else. Flood irrigation, drip lines and sprinkler runoff, backyard pools and spas, decorative fountains, pet bowls, and the puddles left behind by every monsoon storm all create the still water where mosquitoes lay their eggs, and the intense heat then speeds the whole cycle up, so a small amount of standing water left for a week or more can produce a fresh crop of biting adults. That is why our mosquito control is a yard treatment rather than a spray-and-hope visit: we target the resting and breeding areas where the population actually lives, not just the air you happen to be sitting in. The work starts with a walk of the property to find the sources - the clogged gutter, the saucer under the potted plant, the low spot in the yard that holds water for days after a storm, the pool cover that never quite drains - because in the desert, removing or treating the water source is more than half the job. We then treat the shaded resting sites where adult mosquitoes hide through the heat of the day - under eaves, in dense shrubs and ground cover, along block walls, and in the cool margins of the yard - and the breeding sites that keep producing new ones. The treatment is timed and placed so it holds through the warm months, and because the monsoon keeps re-seeding the problem from standing water, the plan includes free re-service between visits rather than a promise that one application ends it. The other reason to take it seriously is disease: the Phoenix area records West Nile virus activity most years, and Maricopa County runs its own trapping and monitoring program for mosquitoes, so cutting the breeding sites around your own home matters beyond the itch. A recurring yard treatment keeps your patio, pool deck, and backyard usable through the season instead of surrendering the evenings to bites, and it pairs naturally with the standing-water habits that make the treatment hold - emptying saucers, unclogging gutters, and keeping the pool cover from pooling. If mosquitoes have made your outdoor space unusable, we scope the property, quote a flat price, and treat the resting and breeding areas so you get your yard back.
Every Gilbert job starts with an upfront, flat quote and finishes with workmanship you can count on.
